NFT Utility Builder

The NFT Utility Builder is a creation interface that lets creators design and launch utility NFTs with web-2 grade ease. In one flow, you add metadata and media (with inline image cropping), attach questions and token-gates, and target audiences by Discord role, Lens community, specific NFT or token holders, Twitter actions, interests, or the Tropee community—while seeing a live count of matched wallets.

This project focuses on developing and rethinking Tropee’s formerly known as Utility Builder, into the Tropee Builder/Creation Interface, allowing users to build utilities for Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) that are also NFTs. In recent years, NFTs have gained popularity, and there is a growing demand for tools that enable owners to enhance the functionality of their NFTs. The Tropee Builder aims to provide users with a user-friendly platform to build custom utilities for the web3 community, offering gated content to their owners. The interface will allow users to drag and drop pre-built components, customize the design, and test their creations before deploying them on the blockchain.

From forms to flows — evolving Tropee’s campaign builder (2021 → 2023)

In 2021, the builder was a single, dense form—upload slots, free-text fields, hidden “advanced options,” and no clear sense of who could claim or what the holder would see. In 2022, I reframed it as a guided flow with clear steps (Utility → Requirements → Settings), surfaced eligibility rules (NFT/POAP), added a live preview of the claim card, and introduced Save as draft / Publish to reduce decision friction. In 2023, we shipped a new creation experience: progressive wizard with templates, inline validation, reusable requirement blocks, audience estimation, scheduling, and cap controls (FCFS/raffle), and real-time previews throughout. Result: faster time-to-publish, fewer misconfigured campaigns, and a calmer, more legible path from idea to live utility.
